Short Description
Day 1 | Welcome Arrival at Athens Airport or Port and pick up a private transfer to your hotel -Hotel in Athens.
Day 2 | Athens sightseeing including transfer from/to your hotel and entrance tickets to Acropolis and New Athens Museum.
Free Afternoon.Hotel in Athens.
Day 3 | Two days guided bus tour Athens – Delphi – Kalampaka-Meteora.Hotel in Kalambaka.
Day 4 | Kalampaka – Meteora visit the Monasteries and Thermopylae. Return and Hotel to Athens.
Day 5 | Departure pick-up transfer to the port or the airport.
Itinerary
- Day 1. Arrival / Athens
- Arrival at Athens airport or at port. Welcome assistance and private transfer to your hotel. The Rest of the day at is at leisure.
After you are settled in your room, you may follow an optional locla tour/cruise. You may check the full list of our optional tours/cruises. here. - Day 2. City tour / Athens
- After breakfast,the day starts with a half-day tour dedicated to exploring the city of Athens. 07:30-13:30.
This half-day tour departs with a panoramic tour to the most important monuments and landmarks of the city of Athens including the Panathinaikon stadium, the Zappeion, the temple of Olympian Zeus, Syntagma Square, the Parliament, the tomb of the unknown soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and the old Parliament.
We continue our guided tour to the "Sacred Rock" of Acropolis in order to admire the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Propylaea & the Temple of Athena Nike.
Our tour ends with a guided visit to the new, spectacular Acropolis Museum . A marvel of architecture with a full exhibition of the glory of Ancient Athens. The museum is also voted one of the best museums in the world.
We transfer you to your hotel or, alternatively, explore Plaka, the picturesque old part of the city, and why not, do some shopping at Ermou street. - Day 3. Delphi / Kalambaka
- After our breakfast we depart northwards towards Delphi, which used to be the most sacred place in the world and a pilgrimage center for many centuries in antiquity. You will admire the Sanctuary of Apollo, walk the Sacred way, and visit the temple of Apollo, home of Pythia (the oracle). In the afternoon, and after a short break for lunch (not included in theprice), we will be crossing the mountains of central Greece to arrive in Kalambaka village near Meteora. We enjoy our dinner and stay for overnight.
- Day 4. Meteora / Athens
- This morning we will be visiting Meteora. Amazing rock formations, like towers of sandstone, stand ageless, and have provided sacred retreat for monks over the centuries. A number of monasteries are hidden on top of Meteora. The view over the plain is breathtaking. Meteora is considered among the most beautiful areas of mainland Greece and belongs to Unesco's list of world heritage monuments. After our visit, we will take the road back to Athens. On the way, we will make a short stop at Thermopylae, to admire the statue of Leonidas king of Sparta. Return at our in Athens .
- Day 5. Departure
- At the appropriate time after breakfast ,we transfer you to the airport or the port.
Apart from the transfer to the port or the airport, no other service is included in the final day of this trip.

Notes
- An “overnight stay” tax applies to all accommodations in Greece. This tax is charged on a per room per night basis and amounts to € 3,00 for 3* hotels, € 7,00 for 4* hotels, and € 10,00 for 5* hotels. This tax is NOT included in our rates and should be paid locally on the spot by the clients.
- Any special request for an upgrade is accepted upon hotel availability or with extra cost.
- Entrance/admission fees to various sites and museums are set by the Greek government, and in case of change, prices will be adjusted accordingly. Currently, included entrance fees are based on rates valid as of November 1st, 2019.
- The above rates include a VAT of 24%. In case of a change in VAT, prices will be adjusted accordingly.
