- Itinerary
- Knossos is the most famous place in Crete and a must-visit for everyone who comes to our beautiful island. This ancient site was the center of the powerful Minoan civilization, which ruled the Mediterranean. By exploring the ruins and hearing the legends of this place, we learn about the history and life of the Minoan people.
In Knossos, you will see the small palace, the mural room, the royal tombs, and the royal mansion. The palace is famous for its maze-like corridors, which gave it the name "Labyrinth." According to legend, this is where the mythical Minotaur lived. The unique design, the use of rare and expensive materials, and the advanced drainage system make Knossos one of the most impressive sights in Crete, even today.
After Knossos, we return to Heraklion to visit the Archaeological Museum. This museum has a beautiful design and holds valuable objects and treasures from ancient Crete.
We finish the day with a relaxing walk in the city of Heraklion. Here, you can shop in modern stores, enjoy a coffee or lunch in a local restaurant, or explore the city's beautiful medieval buildings.
