- This beautiful beach is near the village of Matala and is famous for its unique red sand. In Greek, it is called “Kokkini Ammos,” which means “Red Sand.”
Red Beach is a special place, perfect for those who love nature and peaceful surroundings. Please note that cars cannot reach the beach. Our tour bus will take you to Matala, where our guide will lead you on a short walk through a rocky path. The walk adds to the adventure, making your arrival even more exciting.
When you reach the beach, you will see the amazing contrast between the deep red sand and the bright blue sea. This natural wonder is perfect for photos and relaxation. The sand gets its color from iron oxide, which creates a stunning view.
Red Beach is also known for its relaxed, clothing-optional atmosphere. Whether you prefer to sunbathe in a swimsuit or without one, you will feel free and comfortable in this welcoming place.
