At first, I wanted to plan my own trip, but I realized it was getting challenging since we were new to Greece (it was our first trip).
That’s when I engaged Antonis from Greecetours.
From the get-go, Antonis was prompt, gave us all the details we needed, and was very transparent.
We just returned from an 8-day tour covering Athens and Santorini.
He arranged seamless land transport; hotel stays were good – locations were central, and views were awesome (especially in Santorini).
We created a group WhatsApp among us, and Antonis was accessible all the time.
In Santorini, when there was a misunderstanding about the pickup location for a day tour, he guided us to catch the bus at the next stop.
All the guided tours were very good- the Acropolis, Sounion, Delphi, and the day tour in Santorini.

Eight-Day Athens and Santorini Itinerary
Day 1 – 2 September: Arrival in Athens and Cape Sounion
Arrival at Athens International Airport at 07:45.
A transfer was arranged from the airport to the centrally located Athens Tiare by Mage Hotels. After some free time, the travelers joined an afternoon excursion to Cape Sounion from 15:00 to 19:00.
The tour included the scenic coastal route along the Athenian Riviera and a visit to the Temple of Poseidon.
Overnight: Athens Tiare by Mage Hotels, Athens.
Day 2 – 3 September: Athens Sightseeing and Flight to Santorini
The day began with a half-day Athens sightseeing tour from 07:30 to 13:30.
The tour included the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, offering an introduction to the history and cultural heritage of Athens.
Later, a transfer was provided to Athens Airport for the flight to Santorini, departing at 17:10 and arriving at 18:00.
Upon arrival, the travelers were transferred to On the Cliff Suites.
Accommodation in Santorini:
- One suite with Caldera view and private Jacuzzi.
- One Superior Suite with Caldera view and private Jacuzzi.
- Daily breakfast included.
Overnight: On the Cliff Suites, Santorini.
Day 3 – 4 September: Santorini at Leisure
A free day to explore Santorini independently or select an optional island excursion.
Visitors could discover Fira, Oia, traditional villages, volcanic beaches and the famous Caldera. A guided tour provides an excellent way to experience the island’s landscapes, history and local culture.
Overnight: On the Cliff Suites, Santorini.
Day 4 – 5 September: Santorini Experiences
Another free day in Santorini, with the opportunity to enjoy an optional land tour or cruise.
Guests could visit traditional settlements, admire the volcanic landscape, or experience Santorini’s celebrated sunset.
Overnight: On the Cliff Suites, Santorini.
Day 5 – 6 September: Flight from Santorini to Athens
Transfer from the hotel to Santorini Airport.
The one-hour flight departed at 18:40 and arrived in Athens at 19:30. A transfer was arranged from Athens Airport to the hotel.
Overnight: Athens Tiare by Mage Hotels, Athens.
Day 6 – 7 September: Free Day in Athens
One traveler received an early-morning airport transfer between 06:00 and 07:00.
The remaining travelers had a free day in Athens. An optional full-day cruise to the islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina was available.
Overnight: Athens Tiare by Mage Hotels, Athens.
Day 7 – 8 September: Optional Day Tour from Athens
Travelers could select one of the following full-day excursions:
- Delphi, one of Greece’s most important archaeological destinations.
- Meteora, famous for its historic monasteries and dramatic rock formations.
- Corinth, Mycenae and Nafplion, combining ancient history with one of Greece’s most beautiful towns.
Overnight: Athens Tiare by Mage Hotels, Athens.
Day 8 – 9 September: Departure from Athens
Transfer from the hotel to Athens International Airport for the 09:00 departure flight.
The eight-day Athens and Santorini vacation concluded with comfortable transportation and assistance until departure.
