Day 1: Arrival in Athens – Airport pick-up transfer and hotel check-in

Itinerary

Day 01. Arrival / Athens
Arrival at Athens airport. Welcome assistance and private transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. After you are settled in your room, you may follow an optional tour/cruise.

Day 02. City tour / Athens
After breakfast, the day starts with a half-day tour dedicated to exploring the city of Athens.
This half-day tour departs with a panoramic tour to the most important monuments and landmarks of the city of Athens including the Panathinaikon stadium, the Zappeion, the temple of Olympian Zeus, Syntagma Square, the Parliament, the tomb of the unknown soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and the old Parliament.
We continue our guided visit to the "Sacred Rock" of Acropolis in order to admire the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Propylaea & the Temple of Athena Nike.
Our tour ends with a visit to the new, spectacular Acropolis Museum . A marvel of architecture with a full exhibition of the glory of Ancient Athens. The museum is also voted one of the best museums in the world.
Transfer to your hotel or, alternatively, explore Plaka, the picturesque old part of the city, and why not, do some shopping at Ermou street.
Overnight in Athens
Day 03. Delphi / Kalambaka.
After our breakfast, we depart northwards towards Delphi, which used to be the most sacred place in the world and a pilgrimage center for many centuries in antiquity. You will admire the Sanctuary of Apollo, walk the Sacred way, and visit the temple of Apollo, home of Pythia (the oracle). In the afternoon, and after a short break for lunch (not included), we will be crossing the mountains of central Greece to arrive in Kalambaka for dinner and overnight.
Day 04. Meteora / Athens.
This morning we will be visiting Meteora. Amazing rock formations, like towers of sandstone, stand ageless, and have provided sacred retreat for monks over the centuries. A number of monasteries are hidden on top of Meteora. The view over the plain is breathtaking. Meteora is considered among the most beautiful areas of mainland Greece and belongs to UNESCO's list of world heritage monuments. After our visit, we will take the road back to Athens. On the way, we will make a short stop at Thermopylae, to admire the statue of Leonidas, king of Sparta. Overnight in Athens.
Day 05. Piraeus – Mykonos / Mykonos
In the morning, we will be transferred to the port of Piraeus to catch the Speed ferry to Mykonos. Arrival in Mykonos and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the island or for an optional tour.
Overnight in Mykonos.
Day 06. At leisure / Mykonos
At leisure to explore the famous island, a meeting point of the international “jet set”. Discover its amazing beaches, and enjoy the unique night-life.
Below are some suggestions for today:
  • Half day or full day cruise with a visit on Delos island
  • Jeep safari or scuba diving

    Overnight in Mykonos.
    • Day 07. Mykonos – Santorini / Santorini
    After breakfast, transfer to the port of Mykonos in time to catch the speed ferry to Santorini. Arrival in Santorini and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

    Day 08. At leisure / Santorini
    At leisure to explore the magical island of Santorini. Discover Fira & Oia with the breathtaking views to the volcano, and enjoy one of the best sunsets in the Aegean.
    Our suggestions for the island are the following:
  • Discover the unique black-sanded and red-sanded beaches
  • Visit Oia to enjoy the famous sunset
  • Take a half day or full day cruise to the volcano and to the hot springs for swimming

    • Day 09. Departure to Athens or home country
    Departure from Santorini
    Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before preparing for your departure. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport or port for your journey onward.
    This transfer marks the conclusion of our services for your organized trip.

    The domestic flight Santorini/Athens lands at the same airport as your international flight and you may continue your flight home.
    The ferries arrive at Piraeus port and we can add a transfer to the airport for your flight home.
    Another option is to stay a additional night in Athens and transfer you the next day to the airport.
    For all extra services please inform us so we can book for you and add the cost to the final price.

    • Pick up transfers: All transfers offered in private basis by luxury taxis with an English-speaking driver.
    • Ferries: We use High-speed ferries in economy class. Upgrades to Business or VIP class are upon request. From Crete to Athens we book private two bed cabin.
    • Flights: This tour can be operated, partially or entirely, by flights on request.
    • Hotels: First Class (4*) including breakfast. Tourist Class (3*) and Superior Class (5*) rates, upon request.
    • Extra Nights: this is possible upon request before any booking in one or more destinations.
    • Local Tours/Cruises: Typically group-based up to 40.
      Private tours or small-group options are available upon request.
    • Seasonal Note: From November 1st to April 1st each year, this tour is operated using flights for inter-island transfers or all routes due to speed ferry schedule limitations.

    • Ferry schedules are subject to change without prior notice, and the itinerary may not be possible on certain dates at the beginning and end of the season.
    • An “overnight stay” tax applies to all accommodations in Greece. This tax is charged on a per room per night basis and amounts to € 5,00 for 3* hotels, € 10,00 for 4* hotels, and € 15,00 for 5* hotels. This tax is NOT included in our rates and should be paid locally on the spot by the clients.
    • Any special request for an upgrade is accepted upon hotel availability or with extra cost.
    • Entrance/admission fees to various sites and museums are set by the Greek government, and in case of change, prices will be adjusted accordingly. Currently, included entrance fees are based on rates valid as of November 1st, 2019.
